O Brother Where Art Thou

We then cut to Watership Down, where Scarlett returns home to find Jason looking through a want ads. It's hard to get a job when you're a parolee on the lam! Scarlett points out that it might be easier for him if he went back to Texas and dealt with his parole officer and whatnot, but Jason says that the law isn't the only one looking for him -- he made some enemies doing his time. With such a sparkling personality? How could that be? Gunnar and Jason then give a hearty critique of how Scarlett's groceries were packed, based on their erstwhile summer job of grocery bagging at Mr. Brown's store. They goof around and it is REALLY dumb and makes you wish that they both turned up dead at the end of the episode. Um, spoiler alert.

Rayna then shows up at Tandy's place to tell her that she and Teddy are getting a divorce, and in fact he filed three days ago. That dude really is not wasting any time. He filed in a different county so it would take the press a little longer to figure out. Let me spoil you again by telling you that strategy most definitely did not work. Rayna adds that Teddy is sleeping with Peggy, and Tandy jumps into actual compassionate sister mode as she grabs her coat to go with Rayna to pick up the girls.

Back at Juliette's house the Deacon party planning is under way! Watty White has confirmed his attendance, which means that everyone in town will want to come. We learn for the first time that Deacon hates parties, but Juliette thinks that's only because no one has ever thrown him a good one. As they decide to enlist Scarlett to get Deacon to the party venue, there's a knock on the door. It's Dante, Jolene's addiction counselor. It's time for their family counseling session! You know, the one that Juliette totally forgot about and doesn't want to go to anyway. As Jolene's face falls, Juliette says that she can't make it, given how busy she is planning this party that they just decided 15 minutes ago to throw. Jolene and Dante say it's no problem -- even though it likely is a problem -- and Juliette shakes her head as they go off to do recovery-things together.
