We cut to the grocery store, where Tandy is helping Rayna to pick things off the shelves and doing her sisterly duty by asking Rayna about "the Deacon of it all." Rayna shushes her before saying that things are VERY strange with them right now and she needs to talk to him, she really does, but her focus has to be on the girls. Right on cue, Daphne comes running up to alert Rayna to the fact that the tabloids have gotten wind about her divorce, and are on full display right there at the checkout counter. In fact, Maddie is reading one right now!

Cut back to the rabbit warren, where Scarlett is scrubbing the floor. Her weave is extra scraggly and kind of sweaty, and if a few bluebirds were around she'd look just like pre-intervention Cinderella. She explains to Gunnar that when she gets writers' block, she cleans. In this spirit, she asks him to check and see if Jason has any laundry to do. Gunnar grabs Jason's jacket, out of which falls a gun. DUN DUNNNNNN! Why didn't he take that shit with him? Or hide it better? Everybody freaks out all at once, with Gunnar grabbing the gun and getting ready to leave and Scarlett putting on her feral face and yelling that he is not leaving the house with a loaded weapon. He takes out the bullet before promising, in response to her questioning, that no one is going to get hurt with the gun and storming out. And I have to say, both of them seem to know their way around a gun, I guess because they come from the Deep South. How else are you supposed to collect the dinner possum, after all?

Back at the grocery store, we get a close-up shot of the tabloid article, which has a photo of Rayna and Teddy cleaved in the middle, with a big headline that just says, "RAYNA'S LOVE... OF GUITAR PLAYER." On the picture of her it also says, "Strummin' keeps her hummin'," which cracks me up. Maddie asks Rayna if it's true about Deacon and Liam and Rayna glances as the article quickly before saying, "Not a word." Well, maybe two or three words. Rayna is getting all kinds of weird looks from around the grocery store, so hustles the girls out and leaves Tandy to pay for the groceries and buy up all the magazines. We get a shot of the cover, which has a really interesting looking article called, "Carnivorous Roach Plays Possum Then Pounces on Prey." Is that one about Lamar?

After a break, we're back at Chez Jaymes where Maddie asks if Rayna is saying that all the incriminating tabloid photos were Photoshopped. Rayna is, in fact, not saying that. Tandy pipes in to tell Maddie how tabloids are all about making money by selling false information, but Maddie points out that they've been right about: A) the divorce; and B) Teddy's affair. Rayna assures her that they're not right about her having sexytimes with two dudes while on tour, which is kiiiiiiiiiind of true, I suppose. Nonetheless, Maddie walks away. Poor kid. Rayna then gets a text from Deacon with a photo of the tabloid cover and the word, "Seriously?" Tandy, like the rest of us, is surprised that Deacon is technologically adept enough to make that whole thing happen. She suggests that Rayna might use the device in her hand to call him, but Rayna doesn't think it's a phone kind of conversation. Tandy warns Rayna to be careful, likely so that she'll avoid making even more tabloid headlines.
