Nathan with his preternatural timing chooses that moment to visit Alex. She tries to explain about her shitty boss and her job without saying too much. He's worried she's in trouble and offers to help. His gallantry earns him a kiss. He and Alex fall back onto the couch, kissing and embracing and kissing some more. Enjoy it while it lasts, kids.
