Cut to Robert, rudely pushing his way off the elevator at the Sun building. He ignores everybody who greets him as he heads over to his office. Robert's assistant, who I am going to start calling "Kif," opens the door for him and shows him that the mess Robert made of the place has been cleaned up. Kif got him a new computer and put everything back where it was before. Robert is furious. He's not smart enough to understand symbolism, and needed the wreckage of his career to be represented in literal terms. He picks up the computer and hurls it to the floor, yelling at Kif that he wants the office back exactly the way it was before. Then he repeats the melodramatic desk sweep from last week. Kif looks like he can feel the chemicals in his stomach burning another ulcer. Kif tries to remind Robert that he has a meeting with the lawyers about Jayleen. Robert tells him to cancel it. When Kif tries to tell him that they need his deposition, Robert picks something off of a shelf and hurls it at him. Kif closes the door quickly to keep from getting hit.
And now the weekly Jennie "Mena Suv-aren't-i" Bradbury soft-porn moment. A saxophone plays 900-number late-night-television-advertisement music as Jennie sits in a classroom, stretching her arms up above her head. Boys all around her drool. Do the boys at Arroyo Prep have an armpit fetish or something? I don't like these scenes with Jennie. It's a silly shift in tone. We suddenly go from darkly humorous satire to dumb soap parody. In addition, the idiots at the Fox promotions department keep sticking them in the handful of commercials they show, even though they have no bearing on the content of the episode. Lily sits down next to her, again mocking Jennie's strange erotic rituals. Lily backgrounds everything she's heard recently about Phillip Parker and Meredith Weller and the allegations that she was last seen at the Greeley home. Just as with the last fifteen times Lily explained it to her, Jennie totally doesn't care. Lily decides to get a school alumni directory and try to track down Phillip Parker's home address. She also tells Jennie about finding Henry talking to Catherine yesterday. Lily is suspicious as to why Henry was there.
And of course, this is Henry's cue to wander up and say hello. Jennie serves her supporting character purpose of cutting through all the bullshit and asks Henry what he was doing at the McMansion. Henry clings to his lie about going to see Lily. Lily says she felt like she interrupted something between him and Catherine. Henry asks if Catherine said anything to her, and Lily's all, "Would there be anything for her to say?" Henry's all, "Oh, no. It was just small talk." Yeah, that was really smooth. There better be some good reason that Henry's keeping this a secret from Lily that we don't know yet, because this is getting on my nerves. After Henry walks off, Jennie tells Lily they should just have sex and get it over with. I don't think that's going to be happening any time soon.
