Cooper yells at Violet in her office. He can't believe she outed him. Violet points out that he actually outed himself by taking Cruella home in front of Sam and Pete. Cooper can't believe he did that. It made it all too real! Violet goes all therapeutic and reminds him that a real relationship is not a bad thing. Especially when you are old and lonely and hanging out naked on adult websites. The construction interrupts their impromptu session and Violet screams in irritation. She decides to find out who is at the bottom of it. She asks Cooper to go with her, but Cooper has patients. Violet, obviously, does not. So she Nancy Drews alone.
Pete tries to convince Sam to hit the bars again tonight, but Sam's not sure because he just got out of a long-term relationship with Naomi. I think that's called a marriage, Sam. Sam talks about dating loudly enough for Naomi to hear and look vaguely hurt. Or not. It's hard to tell. Sam sees her and tries to apologize, but she can't talk about it now-- They have to go to the hospital because Frances has been in an accident. At the hospital, Billy Dee is hooked up to some oxygen and Frances has a nasty looking gash on her head. Billy Dee doesn't want to hear about a nursing home, but Sam thinks the situation is getting dangerous. Naomi is more intrigued by Frances's chart and the fact that she never got a CT scan to prove the Alzheimer's diagnosis.
Addison brings Wife Number 1 back to the clinic to give her the bad news: her baby has the genetic disorder. I would tell you what that disorder is, but they keep saying it really quickly and it sounds like DeGeorge? Or Degorge? Gegourd? And I don't want to Google it and end up crying over pictures of babies with facial abnormalities. I'm too sensitive. So I'm going to stick with being vague. Addison reports that the baby will survive, but will have cardiac, hormonal, and facial abnormalities and require constant medical care. Addison, Cooper, and Pete round-robin the bad news and you finally realize what the benefit of such a practice might be. They tell her that 50% of patients in her situation keep the baby, the other 50% don't. Number 1 freaks out, obviously, and wishes her husband was there, obviously, to help her make the life changing decision. I'm sure Addison will do it for her by the end of the episode.
