Addison washes up before surgery when Vanessa comes in and does the same. She tells Addison she wanted to help them, so to please spare her the condescending "we all make bad calls speech." Addison says that wasn't the speech she was going to give. She was going to tell her she screwed up royally and now Addison's going to try to clean up her mess. She says she can scrub in if she wants, but in her OR, she will do as she's told. Vanessa: "Wow. That felt personal." Addison: "It wasn't." Vanessa asks if she's mad at her or at Sam, and Addison says she might have been mad at Sam before but now that her patient might die, "I'm really mad at you." I love badass Addison.

Pete finds Fife and asks him if he was going to proceed more cautiously on the trial before William gave him the green light yesterday. Fife says he's not being reckless, since William's comfortable. Pete asks if he knew William had his own agenda, would that change anything? Fife asks him what agenda, and Pete ends up telling him that William needs the treatment. Fife asks if Naomi knows, and then asks why Pete's telling him. Pete says it should be done right, and he's counting on Fife to do the right thing.

Sheldon, still black and blue (I do love that Cooper and Sheldon work together on this case all episode with the bruises they gave each other all over their faces), tells Maggie's dad he knows he's mad and that it's scary to see this happen to a child you love, blah, blah, blah, just GET TO THE POINT already. Is this schizophrenia storyline dragging on and on, or is it just me? Maggie's dad tells Sheldon he's scary for wanting to take Maggie away. He doesn't believe them when they say they won't lock her up. Sheldon asks who they took away from him, and his wife asks him. He says his sister thought God was talking to her, so they locked her up, called her crazy, and she killed herself. Um, dude, spoiler alert? I didn't know that's how Joan of Arcadia ended! Maggie's mom gets all sad for him and wonders why he didn't tell her. He says it's his fault Maggie's sick, because it's in his blood. His wife looks sad instead of angry that he didn't tell her this, oh, I don't know ... before they had kids! Cooper and Sheldon talk him into having Maggie treated, promising things have changed and they won't lock her up.
