At a nice dinner, Fife and Naomi toast and she says she's surprised he's not giving her the hard sell. He's like, "Fine" and then rattles off his spiel quickly and moves on. She asks if he's done talking about ALS, and he says that would make for a lousy date. She tries to protest that it's a business dinner, but he says, "Really? A hot guy on eight wheels sitting across from a beautiful woman. Feels like a date to me." She drinks instead of disagreeing. Also not on a date? Addison, who's in Pete's bed babbling about Sam when Pete comes in with Lucas, who's up. Pete asks if he told her something and said she couldn't tell Naomi -- but Addison stops him mid-sentence and says she'd tell Nae, since she tells her everything. Pete points out she didn't tell her about Sam. Addison says that's different and asks what the thing is. Pete says he's not telling her now, but it's not a thing anyway. Addison gets up to leave, and Pete asks if she's spending the night. She says Lucas is up and they should have family time. Pete asks if she's freaked out by the woman asking if Lucas was his mother. She says she thought it was funny, so he asks where they stand. She says Pete's in love with Violet, and he tells her that maybe he could be in love with her, that maybe they could be more than her talking incessantly about Sam and running off because Lucas spooks her. She says that's not it, but she can't have kids and he has Lucas; does that make sense? Uh, why not? He says it doesn't, but it could be a good thing. She says she can't do this, and leaves.
Sheldon shows up at Charlotte's and asks if she slept with him to spite Cooper. He adds, "That is a psychologically valid question," as if he has to prove that to Charlotte. She tells him she slept with him because he's a nice guy and he made her laugh, and she was in the mood. But now she realizes he's as childish as Cooper. He tries to talk seductively about his bloody nose, and she slams the door in his face. Addison's at another door, Sam's, screaming up at him after midnight. He comes down and asks what's going on. She says he knows he shouldn't have done the surgery, but he says Vanessa has a different opinion. She yells that Vanessa was wrong. He tells Addison she's acting crazy, and she says she might be, and she might not like Vanessa and she might think she's wrong for Sam, but she's right about her patient, and that surgery was a mistake, but the sad thing is she won't be able to gloat, because it means something bad for a pregnant woman. Then she tells him she and Pete got in a fight, because she talks about Sam too much. Then she tells him that Pete thinks they could really be something. Sam looks startled and says, "Oh." She asks if he thinks he and Vanessa could really be something, but he doesn't know. She starts to cry that she can't have kids and Pete has Lucas, which is scary. Sam says that makes sense, because if she bonds with the baby, she'll be devastated at the break-up. She knew he'd get it, and that's enough, so she leaves, all weepy.
