Quick cut to therapy, where the therapist wants Violet to keep reliving the attack, since Violet's never mentioned her baby and the therapist wants her to. Violet asks if she knows how much she begged Katie not to cut him out of her. Cut to Addison in the blue dress and jacket in the hallway. She sits down by Naomi and asks how they got here. Naomi just looks at her and says she doesn't know. Same dress, with Violet in the white dress and black flowers, back in the restroom at the beginning of the episode. Violet asks Addison if she likes playing house with her son and then scolds her for being the one who told Pete's lawyer about her abortions. Violet tells her to remember she started the dirty fighting when she was on the stand.

Same outfits as Addison's on the stand, once again saying she doesn't think Violet's a fit mother, and she's tried to fill that void. Violet's lawyer asks Addison if she'd call herself an honest person, then brings up why Addison's marriage dissolved. Addison admits that she had an affair with her husband's best friend. The lawyer asks if she didn't also have an affair with a patient's husband, but Addison says they never slept together. The lawyer asks if they can really trust her. Frances Fisher objects, so Violet's lawyer moves on to why Addison doesn't have children. She says she can't, but wanted to, so Violet's lawyer asks if she would lie on the stand to protect her last chance at motherhood. Frances Fisher objects, but Addison wants to answer. She says: "You're right. I'm a cheater, and a husband stealer, and on top of all that I'm barren. So, good times. I never wanted any of this to happen. I never wanted to hurt Violet. Yes, she's a mess. I'm a mess, too. I'm here for Lucas. He's a baby so he can't speak for himself, but I'm pretty sure if he could he'd say he wanted to feel loved and safe, and have cereal for dinner. I just want Lucas to be happy. So, if that means you tearing me apart and making me look like the most horrible person on earth, then please, go ahead and do it, because Lucas is worth it."
