In Heather's room, she calls for Dell. Pete's there, and he says Dell's not, that it's the morphine talking. But she goes on that she's sorry. Pete says he forgives her. She says she's sorry for hurting him and for hurting their little girl. She says to tell Betsey she loves her so much and that Mommy made a mistake. Pete says he'll tell her. Then Betsey says she wanted to be a good mom, and Pete takes her hand, telling her he forgives her and loves her and their baby's going to be okay, so she shouldn't worry. He tells her to just go ahead and go. I honestly can't tell if he's being Dell forgiving Heather or being himself forgiving Violet, or both, but it's sort of lovely. And then she dies. Pete gets up to turn off the machines she's hooked up to, and then Dell comes in, with Violet, asking for Heather. Pete tells Dell he's sorry. And Dell cries. It's very sad, even though I'm smart enough to know I'm being manipulated.
Addison's still in Sam's bed when Susan comes in to tell her they're leaving, and that Bizzy never wanted to hurt her. She says she tried to get her to leave, but Bizzy wouldn't leave her children, which should count for something. She says they're flying out at 11, and leaves. Sam comes in and tells Addison Heather died. She turns, shocked to remember that there's anything in the world that's not about her. He's going to the hospital. She gets up and says she's going with him. At the hospital, Sam, Naomi, Cooper and Addison are gathered when Violet leads Dell down the hall. They tell him how sorry they are, and he says he has to go in and tell Betsey, and she's going to want to know everything. He doesn't know what to do. Addison tells him to tell her the truth, even though it might hurt. She says, "As painful and horrible as it is," AS IF SHE KNOWS. I mean, yes, her mom's a lesbian and has secrets, but that's not comparable kind of pain to what Betsey and Dell are going through, and I hate this show for comparing them. (For the record, I think Kate Walsh is fabulous, but I wish this show wouldn't make her such a "Me! Me! Me!" protagonist.) He goes in the room and we hear him tell her Mommy didn't make it, and then Betsey screaming, "No!"
