In Addison's office, Sam fills Addison in on Kim's situation: He recommends surgery now or she could blow the aneurysm. She also tested positive for some sort of gene that causes this, and it's inherited from the father. They wonder if she's adopted, but then quickly realize he just cannot be her father. So who is he? Violet is using the unemployed Little Shephard to take a look at Crazy Claire's brain scans. Violet thinks Claire's changed, but Little Shephard says people can't change. They can only modify and adjust. Uh, isn't that the same thing? Violet says her career is based on helping people become who they can be, and she's seen people change. Little Shephard thinks people just get better at covering flaws, and then finds a tumor or something and says that it's "Claire's God."
Oceanside breakroom. Sheldon's there eating cereal, and he tells Cooper it's because Naomi doesn't let them buy the kind with marshmallows. But the box in front of him says "Super Bran," so whatever. Cooper asks him how to get someone to talk to you who won't. Sheldon wonders if it's Charlotte, and Cooper says they're actually doing fine, but it's Violet, who's being mean and he can't apologize enough. Sheldon tells him to keep on keeping on, since she's hurt and that takes time to heal, even if she understands intellectually why he did what he did. Dell's giving Maya her ultrasound, and lets her know he got into UCLA medical school, but doesn't know how he'd pay for it. She's super-excited, but he shushes her about it when Naomi comes in. Naomi's really sweet, comparing her pregnancy with Maya to this one. Maya tells Naomi her plan: Her bag is packed, Dink made a mix CD, she does squats, and Dell's delivering all natural. She tells Naomi that her not being around actually helped, because she had to figure stuff out on her own.
Addison and Sheldon get into the elevator together, and she thanks him for doing the consult since things are still weird with Violet since the trial. Sheldon pulls the elevator alarm, and he says he knows it's her thing, but he needs to change things up. She reminds him he charged her for the elevator advice last time and she'll bill him for this since she's expensive, then she goes off about all of the amazing things she can do and how she's one of only eight people who can, blah, blah, blah, this is the Addison I hate. Sheldon brings it back to himself, and says he's been giving Charlotte advice on how to get back together with Cooper, but he thinks about Charlotte when she's not around and comes up with lame reasons all day to go visit her. Addison tells him if he wants her to go get her, or he'll spend the rest of his life wondering why he didn't man up and go for it. He thanks her and turns the elevator alarm off.
