Violet finds Claire in her room, and Claire says she's spent three years of her life listening to Violet and doesn't want to waste any more. She says she's tired of thinking Violet can help her, because it's gotten her here, alone, in a hospital bed. Violet says she doesn't have to be alone, because she got to look at the other side and she just has to find a way to walk through that door and be happy again. Claire asks how she can do that, and Violet says they can try alternative therapies, together. Claire's afraid. Violet knows. They hold hands.

Dell shows up at Maya's and she asks what took him so long, since she called an hour ago. He asks where Dink is; he's at band practice and can't hear his cell. Corinne's in San Francisco visiting a sick aunt, since Maya's due date isn't for three weeks. Dell says she's definitely in labor and he'll take her to the birthing suite, but Maya says "Screw the plan!" She wants to go to the hospital, like a normal person with doctors and pain medicine. She screams at him to get his keys and go. NOW! At Pacific Wellcare, Fife watches William holding Naomi. Then, the hospital. Kim's room. Sheldon opens the door and her parents come in, calling her "Lainey." She just looks at them. Her mom comes forward and cries and hugs her. Lainey registers very little emotion, but finally reaches up and touches her mom.

In the hall, Sam asks Addison if she thinks Lainey will ever get over something like that, and Addison wonders how she could. "Right or wrong, she just lost the only person she loves." Then her phone rings, and it's Dell with Maya. Naomi says to tell her they'll meet her at the ER, and they love her. She tells him to drive safely then hangs up. She and Sam hug, and she says she has to go deliver his grandchild. In the car, Dell tells Maya, who's in pain in the backseat, that they're almost there.
