Michael puts his name card on his winning design from the last challenge, and everyone in the workroom applauds him. He interviews that he auditioned for Season 2 of the show, but didn't make it. He had written, "I will make Project Runway and I will win Project Runway" on a piece of paper as encouragement, and he just discovered it in his wallet today. He feels like it is "predestined."
Vincent seems all kinds of fucked up while he's designing. He blathers on about how he's tweaking his dress. His dress is finished, but he's just adorning it with other stuff. Laura says she is not crazy about Vincent's design. Essentially, he has made a long white sheath dress and now is just "gluing garbage all over the front of it."
With an hour and a half left, Tim enters. He talks to Uli first and loves her dress. She is so sweet when Tim is complimenting her. She seems like a really great girl. Tim tells Jeffrey that his dress is "stunning." Then he tells Vincent that his dress is one-dimensional, which is "not good." Tim likes Michael's bodice, but isn't crazy about the skirt. He thinks it's a "blank canvas."
When Tim sees Alison's dress, he mentions that her model, Alexandria, is "zaftig" and "large." You know obesity in America has REALLY gotten out of control when even our models are fat. Way to go, McDonald's. Alison interviews that her challenge is going to be cinching the waist, so it looks modern instead of super-sized. She's worried. Tim says, "It's about the model you have. It has to look good on her." In all fairness, it sounds like that was looped in. Maybe he didn't offer that nugget in the workroom. Of course, you should probably already know that if you're Alison.
Tim immediately laughs at Kayne of Many Colors's dress. He says it looks like a "high school crafts project." Poor KoMC. He's looking a little crushed. Tim continues, saying it looks like "amateur hour" and a "high school prom backdrop." Then he brings out KoMC's pet hamster and squeezes the life out of it with his bare hands. And then he shoots him in the kneecaps. For real, overkill much, Tim? That was brutal! KoMC just removes the skirt. He's going to make some changes. KoMC interviews that he's not considering winning the challenge; rather, he's just hoping to not be auf'd.
With one hour left, KoMC attempts to make a new skirt. It is not going well. Alison is more stressed after Tim's visit.
They all return to the Atlas apartments in their yellow vests and hardhats. KoMC knows that he won't win the challenge, unless the judges are on crack. Let's cross our fingers for Mayor Marion Barry as guest judge.
