The next morning, Laura wakes fully dressed and makes some coffee. She interviews that she will definitely not be going home for this challenge.
At Parsons, Tim tells the designers that they have two hours before the runway show -- fittings, hair, and make-up included. A lot of the outfits are uncomfortable for the models. Robert interviews that he hopes that his outfit will make it down the runway without falling apart.
Alison directs the hair guy, Nathaniel, to give Alexandria a "big bow of hair." We see a shot of Laura shaking her head, presumably in reaction to the hair bow. She interviews that KoMC's and Alison's styling choices were painful to watch.
Backstage, while looking at KoMC's model, Amanda, who is swathed in liters of dark green eye make-up (with generous interpretation for what is the actual eye area), Laura asks him why he chose the color. "Stress," he replies. Laura says, "I swear to God, I wonder about your choices so often, sweetheart." KoMC cuts back, "Well, honey, I worry about your character, and that's worse. And, the thing is, I've won a challenge, and I was in the top three last time. So, you don't have to worry about my choices." He's not done. "So, I'm just not gonna be degraded on camera. That's just bullshit." While I thoroughly enjoyed that exchange and wouldn't trade it for all of the paper dresses in the world, I do think KoMC is a touch the Kayne of Many Hypocrisies right now. He's talking shit all the time -- does he not see the cameras when he's doing that? He didn't say that he wouldn't degrade someone else on camera, but... he sounded a little self-righteous. Still, give me more.
Alison is having problems because her model, along with being enormous, has no waist. Alison's dress is in trouble.
Vincent loves his design. "It gets me off." And, ew.
The viewer question this week is, "Who's the toughest judge? Heidi, Michael, or Nina." Nice question. Hmm, I say Michael.
On the runway, Heidi introduces the judges. They are Michael Kors, Nina Garcia, and celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe. Thank that puppet of Satan for the Olsen twins. ["I'd rather they'd have used the recycling dude." -- Sars]
The show begins with Uli's dress. It's a high-waisted dress with a flared skirt that hits right above the knee. The bodice is strapless and white. The skirt is a white and silver braid. She used silver mylar and muslin. It's really beautiful. The fit is a touch stiff but, uh, it's trash. What can we expect?
