Here's Maddie in Christian's dress. There's so much happening. I really like the color -- it's dark brown satin with black lace. The bodice is asymmetrical, the straps aren't both the same shape, and there's a lot of pleating. I repeat, a lot of pleating in the skirt, at the waist. Christian likes the dress from the front, but it's bad from behind. It's far too short in the back.
Kit's is next, and I think it's awesome. It's a dark blue dress that hits the knee. The two straps tie in the back. At the bodice, there are three vertically pleated panels of different colors, separated by black fabric. I just think this dress is really tasteful and modern. Love it. I think it's perfect for prom.
Ricky's is next. It's a strapless dress that ends just above the knee in a bubble hem. Are we sick of the bubble yet? There is a bejeweled high waist and a sash at the side. It's a cute dress, but it's in pale, pale pink and the client is of fair complexion. So, we've got Casper the ghost up in here.
Rami's dress is next. Wrong. One side of the bust is cool and the rest is a, uh, bust. The cool side of the bust is super-pleated and wraps into a tight strap. The other side of the bust is just draped fabric. The fabric wraps around the client's ass, then flares into a skirt that ends just below the knee. It looks like such a rich old lady dress. Rami likes it, though, and says that his client likes it.
After the show, Heidi calls forward Kit, Jillian, and Chris. They're all safe. The rest are the top and bottom. Heidi asks Sweet P about the dress. She says she loves it, and Nicole says it's what she wanted. Gilles loves the color and the design. Nina thinks it's a little sophisticated, and Sweet P concedes that it's her point-of-view. Michael says that the kids are wearing much crazier things these days. Michael loves the back- Heidi tells her she's gorgeous. Kevin says that he chose red to accent Tizi's Filipino skin. Nina does not like the color. She looks too old. Michael thinks the cut of the dress makes it look too matronly, and he doesn't like the hem, either. Kevin says that he only put a stitch in the fucking hem that we've heard about this whole show because he didn't want to make it worse. Huh? Nobody said anything about making anything worse. Heidi thinks it looks cheap. Her criticisms can be so bitchy and unhelpful.
