Chief wipes the ash off the television screen and checks out the score on the game. Lou shows up to report that the fire is under control, and Chief sends him away.
Down on the street, Lou comes over and yells at Mike about something. Franco asks where Tommy is, and Lou thinks he's taking a piss. Franco asks about Chief, and Lou says he never came out.
Cut to Chief in a bar somewhere, watching the game, complaining about how much money he's losing. A guy at the bar says that Chief is doing some serious gambling. Chief says, "Hey, pal. I'm a New York City fireman. My whole life's a goddamn gamble." The bartender comes up with a garbage bag, and Chief stuffs a dead dog inside so the owner won't have to see it.
Franco and Garrity sit on the back of the truck. Franco says there was a single mother on the third floor, and that he might offer her his bed since she needs a place to stay now. Billy walks over and starts taking off his gear, when they all hear a noise coming from the building. They look up and see a little girl looking out the window. Franco says he thought Billy said the building was clear, and Billy says that he thought it was. They start to run over, but the girl jumps and lands on the pavement. Garrity gets there first and says, "Dammit, Tommy!" It's a doll. Tommy watches from the window and chuckles.
Tommy turns back into the room, and Jimmy is standing there. Jimmy points out that Tommy couldn't even come into the building without a couple of hits from his flask. Another fireman comes in and asks Tommy if he needs a hand. Tommy says he's fine.
Hello, naked firefighters. Franco and Garrity are in the locker room after a shower. I always miss the good parts. They hear someone puking in a stall, and ignore it. Garrity says that with his family history, he's thinking about having a doctor put a camera up his colon. Franco points out that he's only twenty-eight. Garrity says he's "going crazy wondering what's going on inside of [his] ass." Aren't we all, Garrity? Aren't we all? Franco tells Garrity, "Forget about your ass. Have him stick a camera in one of your ears and find out what the hell kind of brain damage we're dealing with here." Garrity leaves. Mike walks out of the stall, having finished puking. Franco tells him that there's an old saying in the FDNY: "If you aint' scared, you're crazy." He also says that Mike has some puke on his chin, and hands him a towel.
Tommy walks into the locker room and hands Mike his hepatitis kit – a coffee mug and a plastic bag. He tells Mike to piss in the cup and shit in the bag, and then put both on Grinch's desk. Mike is doubtful. Tommy asks Garrity what he's doing, and Garrity says, "What? Oh, nothing. I was just thinking about my ass, you know, cancer-wise." Hee! Tommy gives him a long look, and then shakes his head and leaves. Denis Leary has great reaction shots.
