Back at the nightclub, Sergei sizes up a lineup of scantily clad women, quickly turning each one down until he reaches... Ashley. She's wearing heavy make-up and trembling. The trembling will turn on Sergei's boss Dmitri, he says. Is it wrong to assume that any man named Dmitri would be turned on by trembling? Sergei orders Ash to go clean off all that make-up and come back to him. Ems spies all of this and then follows Ashley to the restroom. As she enters, Emanda can already hear Ashley crying from the only stall in the ornate club restroom. Through the stall door, Ems offers her friendship, warning Ash of Dmitri's M.O. of trafficking young girls. Ash says she can't do anything with her MFA in Art History and that she needs the money to pay rent. Emanda's like, "Pfff..." She pulls out a wad of bills wrapped in a note that has her phone number and hands it over the stall. She's helping Ash because Ashley's going to help her, Emanda explains. She wants Ashley to text her as soon as she knows when Dmitri will arrive, then to duck out. When Ash opens the stall door to see her savior face-to-face, Ems is already gone. Like Batman.
The Stowaway. Carl Porter's running things because he hasn't had that heart attack yet. His buddy Matt is following him around, prattling on about paying some protection money to some hoods that have been hounding the businesses on the docks. There's a rumor going around that Mr. Ryan is going to send a bad message to all the holdouts on Thanksgiving. Carl happens to be a holdout. Matt insists that he and Carl need to be thinking about protecting their kids. Cue Jack walking into the bar. Just in case we forgot this is a flashback, he declares he's ready to christen his boat the "Amanda" and stoops down to say hello to Sammy, who's also still alive. Jack's plenty happy to be home and listening to Matt talk about his little girl growing up, but that changes quickly when Carl orders him to take Dec to their grandmother's for Thanksgiving even though the plan was originally to do it at the bar. Jack's confused about the sudden change of plans, and Carl roughly asks if his son has a problem with it. Welcome to 2006, Jack!
