This was a nice, twisty episode. I may have enjoyed it more than any episode to date, although it did lack moments like seeing Shiv's portrait decorated with WHORE, or Gemma slapping Bridget-as-Shiv and calling her a whore. I'm really into Bridget's Schrödinger's Pregnancy. At first glance, in this episode, it seems that Bridget slept with Malcolm (albeit nine months ago), and maybe hasn't been sleeping with Andrew. But I have to think there's a reason we never saw Bridget and Malcolm in bed, together, and why the show set that maybe-love scene nine months ago, rather than one month ago. Are we supposed to think they kept accidentally hooking up, or was that a clue that they made a mistake early on in Bridget's recovery, but have behaved themselves ever since? We've seen Tool Belt and Shiv in bed plenty of times. We've even seen Juliet straddling a naked guy early on in the series, so it's not like the show is going to shy away from sex scenes. Also, I can't stop thinking about Andrew's phrasing when he and Bridget-as-Shiv had their heart-to-heart. He says they were barely having sex, back when he found out Shiv was pregnant. Is he differentiating from now, because they're back at it like bunnies? Did Bridget manage to conceive? I need to know these things. God grant me the serenity to... not spoil myself.

I'll be back next Wednesday morning, with the recaplet of, "Maybe We Can Get A Dog, Instead." So maybe Bridget won't be pregnant after all. That's probably for the best. Babies aren't generally good news for shows, but this one has wisely made the Bickerson's twins invisible, and I'd sort of love to see Andrew's face, when Bridget hands him an African-American baby, because? CHEESE! This show is so twisty, I don't even feel like I can take that episode name as an indication that Bridget isn't with child. Oh, well. I'll see you next week.
