Brooke calls Dilana and Lukas over to stand onstage with her and Toby. And that's the final three, y'all. Brooke tells Lukas to take a step forward, and he hesitates before obeying with a smile. Brooke says this is his "last chance to make [his] case to 'the band,'" but first we get a little Lukas montage.
In between clips of Great Moments in Lukas, he interviews that "second place is not an option" and "I'm absolutely ready to win this. The best is yet to come." When we come back from that all-too-brief bit of recapper-friendly montage goodness, Dave asks Lukas if he has anything to add. Lukas makes a little speech, saying that the members of SuperNotAnyMore that given the level of success they've had, they could really be assholes, but they're not. Which is quite a compliment, coming from someone who was kind of an asshole even when he had limited success. "It would be my honor to lead them on a world tour," he concludes. The audience cheers, Dave gives a "right on," and Tommy and Gilby clap. Jason, not so much.
Dilana's turn. Great Moments in Dilana is punctuated by her saying that anyone could win. "We're all pretty damn good," she says. Of SuperNowThey'reScrewed, she says, "I need them. And they need me." And what's more rock & roll than neediness? Afterward, Dave calls her a fighter, and an "incredible performer and singer." For her final argument, she goes with her usual subtlety: "Lukas is amazing. Toby is incredible. But I'm the one." The crowd goes nuts, and the judges, Brooke, Toby and even Lukas all laugh hysterically. "There's that fighter I was talking about," Dave euphemizes.
During Great Moments in Toby, he interviews that this has been the best time of his life, and that he thinks he has a "fantastic" chance of winning. Dave tells Toby that he has really grown over the course of the season. Toby credits SuperKnowNotWhatThey'llBeCalled with giving him great advice and teaching him a lot. That segues into his argument: "I'm ready." He also adds that the energy he has on this show is nothing compared to what he'd be able to achieve with a few beers in him. But here's the kicker: "And also, I'm tallest." Dilana dashes into the wings, comes back onstage with a stepladder, climbs up, and punches Toby playfully on the shoulder.
So because we're barely twenty minutes in, Tommy says that they're going to need to hear each of the top three song once more before deciding. Brooke promises just that after the commercials.
During which, a promo of the Survivor premiere is "sweetened" with footage of Lukas singing "Head Spin" last week. Giveaway? As for this season of Survivor itself, I said it to Miss Alli and I'll say it to you: better her than me.
