Chloe looks sad and slips away from the party. She misses seeing Emil parading around Tess's Daily Planet office in his boxers. Didn't Lionel kick her out? If he hasn't already, he probably will after this. "Show me what you got," Tess's voice calls out from behind the camera. "You can't handle what I got," he says, and demonstrates a few Elvis dance moves. She roars with laughter. He takes the camera back and turns it on her. She's down to her slip. She wiggles suggestively for the camera. Tess in the present fumbles with the camera, trying to turn it off, but not before everyone sees her and Emil making out on her desk.

Chloe heads outside. Oliver's close behind her. She tries to play it casual, but he knows she's leaving again. He's not mad. He's even understanding: "Chloe, I never expected you to sit up in that ivory watchtower for the rest of your life." He gives her a scrap of paper from his jacket pocket. It's the other half of the marriage certificate, listing Oliver Jonas Queen as the groom. Chloe looks up at him, her eyes big and shiny. She holds her half of the certificate next to his half and gives a little silent laugh. "I don't know what you're thinking," he says, "but I hope it's not that you're gonna run off without your husband." She looks up at him again, smiling, tears rolling down her cheeks. "You didn't take a job in my home town for nothing," he says. They kiss and give each other adoring smiles. Together, they walk away from Watchtower.
