Red car. Metropolis license plate with "Desire" on it. Kansas must be the easiest place in the world to get personalized plates. Liquid is leaking from the gas tank. Somebody lights a match. Drops it. Fire. Desiree watches as her car explodes. It even flips in the air. She walks away, apparently satisfied.
Kent Farm. The folks ask why Clark didn't tell them about this earlier. He says he was embarrassed. Clark's drinking lemonade, which is the beverage of choice for this hot episode. Bo starts to platitude that it's not illegal to give your husband business advice. "Trying to seduce a teenaged boy is," MamaKent says, all angry. She wants to call the school board and get the woman suspended. Bo goes over to answer the door. It's Ethan the Cop. Ethan -- the mustached one -- says a teacher reported that Clark set her car on fire. What with the other mysterious fires, Clark's reputation is...heh heh...toast. Ethan says that they're going to have to take Clark into custody until they can sort things out. He pulls out some handcuffs. "Mom, Dad, this is a mistake," Clark says. Bo tells Clark to listen to what Ethan says, and that they'll figure things out. Clark turns around. MamaKent is sad. I'm sad because of the commercials.
Lex is at the Talon. He's on the phone, working on selling the place. MamaKent walks in. "Mrs. Kent," Lex says. She says she's looking for Nell. Yes, where is Nell these days? MamaKent starts to leave, all pissy. Lex stops her. He says he's sorry about Clark. "Are you, Lex?" she asks. She walks up and blames Lex's wife for putting her son in jail. Lex says that maybe it was a cry for help. MamaKent asks whether that's Lex talking, or his wife. Lex says he doesn't want to be asked to take sides against his own wife. MamaKent says that a relationship has to have room for disagreement, the way she and her husband disagreed about Lex. MamaKent says that maybe Bo was right all along: "You know Clark. He's not a criminal. He's the one person who stood by you no matter what." In sickness and in health. Till death do them part. Lex says that he wouldn't have thought Clark was capable of this, but he knows Desiree. "You met and married her in a week," says MamaKent, calling bullshit where she sees it. "How well could you know her?" she yells. Lex has to think about that one. MamaKent leaves.
Pool. Pheromona is swimming in a red bikini, sans top. Bo walks in (the Luthor home has no security at all?) just as she's getting out. She greets him as "Mr. Kent," making no attempt to cover herself. Bo is perplexed. He's used to seeing udders on his cows, but nothing like this. She asks if he's there to talk about Clark. He says he is, and that he'd rather do it fully clothed. He tosses her a bath robe. She puts it on and apologizes. She goes over to Bo. She says that Clark is disturbed. He starts fires and takes credit for putting them out. Bo says that Clark was nowhere near her car. "Your son is lying to you. I'm sorry," she says. Eeeevil! Bo gets frustrated and starts to leave. Pheromona stops him. She says it's because of Lex. Bo turns around and she moves toward him with a full-on blast of pink fresh breath. Funky, sexy music is playing. With Bo enthralled, she says that she needs him to do something for her. Bo nods weakly. They kiss.
