Daily Planet. Chloe and Clark are walking down some stairs, being as indiscreet as possible with their loud-ass conversation. Clark is whining that Lana was only in danger because of Lex. Clark says Lex twists everything around, one lie on top of another. Ha. This is hilarious. Chloe says she does think Lex is a snake ("I've seen his scales," she says), but she admires that Lex took a bullet for Lana. Clark says, "I saved her from a bomb. Doesn't that mean anything?" You have superpowers! Jackass! It's not risking your life if it can't hurt you. Chloe says it would mean something to Lana if she knew about it. Chloe says that the only reason Lana went to Lex was to learn about the spaceship. Clark connects the dots that if he'd been honest in the first place, she wouldn't have had to. Clark sits down and sighs. "I love her so much, Chloe," Clark says. Chloe takes a moment with that and says, "I know." She tells Clark that all he's doing is pushing her away. Clark says he wants them to be together for the rest of their lives. Chloe says the only way that'll happen is if he tells her the truth. Dramatic music. Clark is stumped by the sheer weight of honesty.
Credits. Next week: Somebody's going to die on Smallville. Will it be me? I'm not telling.
