Chloe says that Clark was right; the shapes inside The Woodsboy are seeds. Chloe, who's got a bit of the curly hair going, says that the guy is going into surgery right now. Clark asks whether Chloe's heard anything from her professor friend. Chloe says that he was able to isolate the DNA, and that it's foreign...to the planet Earth. Chloe says that explains the cuts on Clark's hands. "If it's alien, how did it get here?" Clark asks. Bus pass? Frequent flyer miles? The back of a gryphon? Chloe says that while the seed can gestate in soil, the human body creates a perfect potting mix for it. I'll bet it would have been very much at home in Pol Pot. Someone screams. A female and a male nurse run out of a room. The female nurse tells the guy to call the patient's mother. She's going to issue a Code Red. Clark and Chloe run to the room. Inside, the whole place is covered with icky, dark vines. It's a jungle in here! "Oh my God," Chloe says. The vines look a bit umbilical. There's blood, too. It's all right, though. The kid's an ambitious actor and he's always wanted to branch out.
