Raya and Clark walk across the Phantom Zone. Clark is wrapped up like he's Lawrence of Agaybia. Clark asks why Raya hasn't used the super-secret exit. She says that it only opens for the House of El. Jarnelle kept it a secret in case anyone tried to imprison his family. Clark asks why he'd have to worry about that. Raya says that, like all great men, Jarnelle had enemies. Raya trips on something that hurts her foot. Someone comes up behind Clark and chokes him with a piece of cloth. Raya pulls a throwing star from her arm. She turns and is kicked by another enemy. Desert ninjas! Clark struggles. The two dudes grab him and pull off his headgear. "Kal-El," one of them says. Hey, what's up, Nam-Ek? He busts out a dagger. Raya tells him to wait. He asks why he shouldn't kill the person who sent him here. Raya says that Clark can open the gateway: "I was bringing him to you. He can free us all." Clark grits his teeth at her. You dumb-ass.
