Only three ballroomers remained in Vegas: Utah BFFs Whitney Carson and Lindsay Arnold, as well as heretofore unseen Nick Bloxsom-Carter. Nick has a Benji thing happening, in appearance if not attitude. He's already crying in the interview, and it gets more intense in front of the judges. He draws Tyce as his judge of record, which is a reason to cry in and of itself. But he's in! Oh, kiddo, hold it together.
Meanwhile, Whitney and Lindsay are sent in together, but since this isn't the end of the episode and there's way more than one slot available, they're obviously both in. Mary says "we're looking for one ballroom girl." Stop. Adam is like "this totally makes me sick." STOP. No one is fooled. Whitney is in ... and then DUH Lindsay is in too. DIDN'T FOOL ME, DUMB SHOW!
On stage, Whitney, Nick, and Lindsay convene for a Jason Gilkison Latin ballroom routine that is fucking HOT. I have found Whitney annoyingly babyish in the auditions, but she's a damn star on that stage. It'd be foolish to deny it. Nick looks ever so slightly overmatched by these two, but he's sure trying. He's another boyish one. Whitney is so pageanty in her presentation, but she really makes you think she's the only one onstage. She's our Chelsie Hightower, at long last. I love Jason Gilkison so much, you guys. Three-person ballroom is not easy to choreograph. In the audience, Mark Ballas is clapping, which sends a shiver down my spine. Shit, which one of these girls is he dating/boning?
Mary's already on the train (at the "sizzle station"), which means a lot of screaming. She wants more from Nick --to be a little stronger. Zooey: "You gals are like twins! Firecrackers!" Gals! Nick makes a point of thanking Zooey, as any good gay boy would. He's not a threat to win this show, but I like him.
