Comfort and Thayne are doing a Mandy Moore contemporary piece, and Mandy says she's pulling out all the stops, and won't go easy on Comfort. Comfort's arm starts getting all clicky on her, not that she's using it as excuse or anything. "A Different Corner" by George Michael. Again, it's contemporary, so since I like almost none of it, it's hard for me to judge. Since it's so interpretive, who knows? I am even more bored than normal, so maybe it's not good? There's a lift, which looks like it was done well enough. Turns out I might be wrong on that too. Nigel says he would have liked to see another couple dance the routine, since he didn't see any kind of connection, because the choreography was awesome, but they were not. Scattered boos from the audience. Mary says it wasn't completely believable, and the movements were so-so, and says the lifts weren't good. I willingly defer to her on stuff like that. Mia tells Comfort that she can only fake technique so much, and if they had a better connection it would have been better, because the choreography was amazing. She breaks from Nigel and Mary, though, since she thought Thayne was brilliant and she can't wait to work with him. Well, no wonder I can't judge contemporary; either he stunk or he was brilliant. Your mileage may vary, or the emperor has no clothes.
