Mandy Moore has her hands on Chelsie Hightower and Mark and has them performing a jazz routine that even she admits may be a little fast. Uh-oh, with the way this night has been going, I'm afraid.
The odd couple, who I adore, knock their "Kiss Kiss" number out of the park! Finally. It is a blend of very, very speedy moves with a lot of flirty little air kisses that have to be right on beat. Mandy Moore stepped it up a notch. I love this pair, especially after last week's hearbreaking hip hop. They are high energy and fun. My favorite move is this hard-to-describe thing where they put their hands together and make out with their own hands while moving them around so it looks like they are macking on each other.
Cat blows them kisses. So does Tabitha. She says "no matter what you guys are given, you are able to tell the story as a couple." Napoleon agrees. Mary fakes the audience out saying she hates to be a downer and then screams that she loves it. Mark and Chelsie start dancing. Mandy Moore is happy clapping. Wait... do I see Benji behind her? Oh, I've been in desperate need of a little West Coast Swing in my life. Can't wait!!! Nigel tells Mark and Chelsie that he didn't feel the routine was fast because "it just worked." High praise from him tonight. He says that Mark's upper body and Chelsie's hips are magic together.
Up next, Twitchington doing a Paso Doble by Tony and Melanie. Uh oh. He's the matador and she's the "matadoress." He's the "Twitchador." There's capes and spinning, and for once she's wiped the incessant smile off her face and looks like she wants to punch someone. He's a little bit slouched, but he looks mean too. Lots of spinning and the lighting guys went a little nuts with the flashing, but all things considered, it was fun.
