There's actually time for a guest performance and tonight it is two members of the AXIS Dance Company: Joel Brown and Sebastian Grub. Both begin sitting but Sebastian gets up to dance while Joel stays seated in a wheelchair and they do a synced routine with Sebastian standing and Joel sitting and wheeling around the stage. Joel, as it turns out, is paralyzed from the waist down. The way they dance together is super inventive and beautiful and it's very cool.
Elimination time! First up, Cat has the gulls and she quickly reminds us of their dances last week. The first one into the finale is Tiffany, and she and her family (who are in the audience) all burst into tears. Cat then announces that Eliana is the other one into the finale, and Witney gives her a huge hug while the audience erupts. I actually agree! Go America! I totally forgot that Witney still had braces in her audition, and she made the right call having them taken off before the show started. She's a cutie pie, and an immensely talented one at that.
And now it's time for the boys. Cat recaps their dances from the week before and then announces that Chehon is the first guy in; he looks genuinely shocked beyond belief. Cat drags it out a moment before announcing that the last finalist is, unsurprisingly, Cyrus. Of these three the only one I thought had to make it through was Chehon, bad Latin hips and all, so I'm fine with this result. Don't forget, lovelies, that next week's performance finale is on Tuesday rather than Wednesday!
