Meanwhile, the sisters gather upstairs for their final vote. Someone says that Karissa didn't say anything interesting. Hey, she said she likes talking about diseases. That could be categorized as "interesting." We learn that they need twelve of the sisters' fourteen votes to get a bid. Someone snots (Talia, I presume, though she's not the only one with a terrible voice -- actually, I can't think of anyone without one) that you'd only need to fail to connect with a couple sisters to not get a bid. Ah, true. More talk of Karissa. Karissa then camera-talks that it feels conceited trying to sell herself to the sisters. I'd love to see her actually sell herself to the sisters. That's a show I could get behind. Then they talk about Maggie and her need to be with Julia. Julia tells us she felt good about all her answers, but the other girls might have had better answers. That's true! She's brilliant! Not a porn star at all!
Mackenzie, who looks like Laura Brannigan now, says the sisters have to decide by the following evening. They start writing down their votes. Mackenzie thinks they're definitely not going to call her. Lightning and thunder! And that's it! (They tease the next section, but why ruin it for you?) Commercials.
Back. Day. Buffalo. Buffalo. Night. Buffalo. The DZO house. The sisters call Brooke. Amy speaker-phones that they have a few more questions they still need answered, and could she stop by the house? Tonight. A little while after they sent her home. Man, that's cold.
Brooke arrives, prissing her ass up the stairs and into the living room. Janel says she still had a few lingering doubts that she herself couldn't quite get past. Janel says she doesn't understand why Brooke thinks she likes them, the sisters. Brooke, looking none too happy with this whole thing, says she didn't like many of the other sororities here, but then she did like the DZO girls, so she kept coming back. She's totally not kissing ass and not trying to hide her annoyance, which is pretty cool of her. Then Nikki says she left her question sheet upstairs and could they all go there? They're totally going to make her get naked. See, this is what pledging is about! Brooke camera-talks that it's 1:30 in the morning and they're being mean to her and she's just wondering what the hell she's doing there. Finally they have her upstairs, and instead of undressing her, all the girls yell, "Congratulations!" and it takes Brooke a second to realize that she got a bid, and she starts jumping up and down and saying that she didn't know what they were doing to her and "oh my God!" The great thing is that when you freeze-frame, you can tell she's really not excited at all, but rather it's some weird girl reflex to scream and jump up and down when you're supposed to, even if you're pissed off and apprehensive. Brooke camera-talks to us that it felt really good and that she felt she belonged. She's a bad actress, that one.
