Anyway, Jeremy says, "You'll see I am facing the new millennium as the servant of no master. And you'll take back that 'nerd' thing." As if this doesn't completely reinforce the whole "nerd" thing. After much consideration, Dana agrees. Jeremy stands up and says, "Natalie? Shot and a beer," and she says, "Okay." "Or if they have Mountain Dew," says Jeremy, as his Inner Wuss returns. Natalie takes him by the hand and they walk off. Why is he giving her his drink order if they're going together anyway? And do they have to hold hands everywhere? Dana: "Give the slip, five letters." Casey: "Elude." Dana, without a trace of irony: "I finished the crossword!"
Back from commercials, Jeremy is walking through the newsroom yelling at all the extras that they're more than welcome to watch the test, as if any of these extras are welcome anywhere the regular cast is, or perhaps that should be "regular caste." Of course, everybody ignores him, and he tells them to wish him luck, and again he gets nothing in response, since that would require giving one of the unclean extras a line.
