Blow Out the Candles and Make a Wish!

When Miguel goes, he loses part of the choreography. So what does he do? He looks to Janelle, who of course can't offer any help. He kind of just stops. Nancy tells him that that was a mistake but doesn't call him any names. Janelle goes next. She makes it through the number, but she isn't very good. She was very nervous and shook throughout. Plus her technique is kind of sloppy to begin with. When she finishes, she explains that she was nervous and starts crying. Nancy asks her if she knew she was going to be nervous and was there anything she could have done about that. That's actually interesting to think about but I hate her now and can't listen to anything she says. Janelle interviews that Nancy is a "hardcore bitch" but she loves her.

Nancy interviews that a lot of the dancers "broke down" and they were better for it. See -- I really don't like that idea that performers have to be broken before the get better. They're not horses.

Vincent enters for a run-through. He says, "Nurse Ratched, did you get 'em?" During the performance, we hear an interview from Miguel where he says that Nancy's words helped him. Mochi says that Nancy is like a brutal older sister. Vincent interviews that the performances have changed a lot since the day before. After the performance, Vincent starts to cry. Mochi tells him to "let it out," in a way poking fun at Nancy. He says that he always lets it out because he's part Polish. I have no idea what that means. Polish people are criers? Vincent and Nancy hug and kiss when it's over.

Later, the dancers are in the green room waiting to perform again. Mochi interviews that she is going to play her own life story onstage. Cody says he plans on opening up a little more. Miguel brings in a birthday cake for Janelle and calls her "Booger Bear." Janelle interviews that she is focused on winning. Jerry enters with Vincent in tow. He tells them to take 15 seconds after the final leap in the combination to show what the experience of the show has felt like.
