Oscar and Mochi SIZZLE! Finally, after getting the boot, Oscar gets to show just how terrific he can be! This stuff is awesome. Jumps, turns, acting with Mochi -- he's great! And she is doing the best work she has done yet on the show. She's writhing across the floor, which I usually don't go for, but she makes it rhythmic and sharp and good. James and Janelle are kind of meh. James isn't particularly sharp in his movement, which I'm actually surprised to see. Janelle seems forced. They have a lift that was pretty precarious too.
They're done and Nomi tells them that they were "caliente." Tovah, Oscar, Adriana, and James are called to the front. Jordi says that he was surprised that some of the dancers had been eliminated. He found Adriana feisty and thought she gave a lot of effort. Vincent thought that she did a nice job too. He thought she stabbed the floor like a tango dancer and had nice envelopes. He recommended she harness her energy a little more though. She should start with her crazy eyes. Seriously, she's looking through me right now. Jordi says that he thinks James is full of joy. Nancy says that it looked like they were having a blast, but James doesn't have the technique. Jordi tells Oscar that he is his "dream dancer" so he is very surprised that he was eliminated. Nancy sings, "Stud Muffin!" Then, she tells Stud Muffin that he was good. She liked that he stayed in character even when he wasn't dancing. That's where the seventeen tours of West Side Story that he did come in handy. Vincent loved Oscar as well. He thinks that the stage leap that he did during the solo portion with Mochi was worthy of the cover of Dance Magazine. And he's in luck: I think it was caught on film. Oscar says that he would like to thank Mochi because of how beautiful she is. He says that if he was straight, he would marry her. Jordi says that it takes two to tango. I guess that means that Mochi would have to say yes? I dunno. Jordi tells Tovah that she is beautiful and looks like Halle Berry. She kind of giggles and rolls her eyes -- she knows the drill. He says that she captured the essence of flamenco. Vincent thought she was going to put a hole in the back of her head when she was doing her back kicks.
