Afterwards, Lee says it was a good idea for them to "come together" like they did. Jason picks out that moment when Miguel tapped Michael. He liked it. Nancy says that none of them were outstanding technically. She felt like Miguel was flailing. Lee tells Oscar that he has a tendency to rush and that, while sometimes his lines are beautiful, they are sometimes all over the place. Vincent says that some of Michael's lines are beautiful. Lee says that Michael is not a technical dancer but he is musical.
The judges deliberate. Vincent thought that Oscar was going to be great this challenge since he's always complaining that the others aren't right for him. He has a point. He thought Michael compensated well for his lack of technique. Nancy thinks that Oscar has nice training, but that Michael is more masculine. Sweet Nomi Malone asks if this is about technique or masculinity. Lee shuts her down and says it's a package and neither of them has it. They're done deliberating. Miguel is immune, so he leaves the stage.
Nomi hands it to Lee. She says that Oscar has technique, but she didn't like his musicality. Nancy says that Michael's technique was about as solid as butter and he needs to stay in class. Michael is...safe. He dramatically drops to his knees. Oscar waves at the judges and starts to walk away. The show is over for him. He seems really upset. I feel like Oscar is going to get a little grief for his attitude, but I honestly can't blame him. He hugs everyone backstage, but you can tell he wants to get out of there. Jerry takes him to do his last dance. Yeah, thanks Jerry. Your fucking advice got him kicked off the show.
Oscar interviews, "Oscar is gone." He interviews that he felt like he gave his all. He was in the competition for his mother, "but it didn't work." That's sad. He says, with teary eyes, that he's a winner in his mom's eyes. His last dance is ballet and he looks great. I'll miss you, Oscar. Michael sucks. I'm over it.
