Writers' room. It looks like everyone who has anything to do with the show (save Darius) is assembled, and Matt's giving the Jordan/Danny update, including how six pounds is different from seventeen pounds and how the baby is beautiful despite Danny not having seen her yet, but forgetting to mention (until Cal prods him) that Danny and Jordan are now engaged. Alex notes the broken laptop, and Lucy says she threw it on the floor. Andy explains that the "nocturnal nut brigade" was saying their usual stupid crap on the internet. "The pajama people?" Jeannie asks. HEY! I thought we'd made it clear that I'm the pajama people. Don't lump me in with the Parents Television Council or whoever the hell. Also: it's currently past 1:00 AM on the West Coast. I would think everyone not currently drunk or fornicating should be wearing pajamas. Matt changes the subject, saying that since they're supposed to stay in the building and stay busy, they should do their usual Sunday post-mortem right now. So what went wrong? Keep in mind, we're still on the same night as the Jenna Fischer show, so here's Don Pardon't to remind us about how he said "Studio City" instead of "Studio 60" three episodes ago. Poor Don Pardon't. He has one thing to do all week, he screws it up once, and he has to stick around with all these damn people until well past midnight to relive it over and over again. Matt is, of course, as patronizing as possible in addressing the issue and absolving Don of his sins. Andy, ever the voice of sunshine, asks Matt why Jordan's still under general anesthesia -- his wife had similar problems with placenta bleeding and it wasn't nearly that serious. He says the doctor's not telling Danny something -- something is wrong. Matt tries to move on to Cal's production issues, but then he quickly excuses himself to go call his boyfriend.

So Matt calls Danny, but just as Danny picks up, here's the doctor, who opens with: "Relax." Of course, telling someone to "relax" has never, in the history of spoken words, ever actually led to that person relaxing. Ever. Doc continues to preface, saying he's about to use some words that sound worse than they are. The gist is that they thought Jordan was fine, but she went into shock when they took her to recovery. It turns out her body hasn't been able to clot at the incision point. They've got the head of hematology working on her right now and administering drugs. They can't visit Jordan yet, because the doctors are keeping her pretty doped up in case they need to open her up again. Doc promises Danny that these are simply post-op complications, and Jordan should be out of the woods by sunrise. Danny tells the doctor that he still hasn't been able to see the baby, and since Doc has found one thing he can fix right now, he tells the nurse to cut the shit and get Danny an ID bracelet already.
