Jordan is having none of it and says, "What makes you think I passed?" Hallie points out that it's kind of widely known. Jordan starts her alternative explanation of Hallie's arrival with, "Every other network had a VP of Illiterate Programming." Hallie cuts her off to correct Jordan that it's "alternative programming," but the point has been made. I'm not sure if this has reached you, but Aaron Sorkin thinks that unscripted television is stupid. And that you, if you enjoy it, are illiterate. If, on the other hand, you enjoy unfunny sketches about commedia dell'arte, you are a genius, and there should be more people like you. I think you know the length of the rant I could go on here, but sometimes when a guy is making himself look like enough of an infantile wank, the best thing to do is step back and let him do it. There's nothing I could say about him that he hasn't said about himself, particularly when he recently informed the media that real comedy writers like Billy Crystal (!) undoubtedly love his show, that the people who dislike his show aren't smart enough to have an opinion anyone should pay attention to, and that "amateurism" is the reason there is the false impression that the show isn't well liked. Seriously, look up the interview. It's like something out of Waiting For Guffman.
