Team KAD covered many more items, emphasizing the spa and some other shops, as well as including a sidebar with inexpensive on-the-go spots including the bubble tea store, a dumpling shop, and a bamboo store. The page is super-crowded and looks more like a spread in a free daily newspaper than one in a high-end magazine. Either way, you can already see the wheels turning in Kate's head on how to formulate her dissent from the team (for a second week, no less) if need be. Anne compliments the idea but says the design isn't feature-like. Joe Zee adds that the design doesn't clearly illustrate the page's theme. Joanne thinks the sidebar overtakes the primary content.

For Team 3, Johanna takes point and gives a meandering explanation about the place of tea in "ELLE Living"; in short, it has many health benefits. Megan interjects to clarify how their page design expresses that point, but Joe Zee is having none of it. He says that, as in the case of Team KAD, he simply doesn't know what they're talking about. He decries the lack of captions on the product photographs, saying he would have to read the article to understand them. God forbid! Anne adds that she probably wouldn't even read the article because the photos suck.

Anne asks who was responsible for the photography. Now Jason has one more reason to defend himself. Unwisely, he does so by flat-out lying. He claims Megan led the group and made all its decisions. Joe Zee re-emphasizes that the pictures don't tell a story, and Anne chips in that there isn't enough visual variety. Next she asks who laid out the page. Dyshaun takes credit, which is unfortunate as two of the blurbs are mismatched to the pictures above them. It's plain as day as one picture prominently displays the shop's name. Good thing these kids are auditioning to be assistants, not copy editors or proofreaders. Joe Zee says this was a glaring error. Dyshaun has no defense, so he eats it.

Anne and the henchmen retire to her office for deliberations. Mark my words, kids: Team 2 will win, and Jason and Dyshaun will duke it out at elimination. The coven discusses Team 2 first. The team made some rookie mistakes and brazenly included a man in their spread but had an overall cohesive and readily apparent theme, unlike the other two. Anne again praises the product silhouettes and the team's willingness to bring something new (wedding fashion) to the magazine. On to Team KAD. The concept and effort were there, but the execution was weak. Essentially, their page proved that excellent ideas don't mean squat without competent execution. As for Megan's militia and their "disaster" of a page. Joe Zee complains that it looks like advertising -- unintelligible advertising at that. The repetitive photography simultaneously lulls Anne to sleep and terrifies her with its aggressive presentation of mushrooms (don't ask me). They all agree that Dyshaun's captioning snafu was unacceptable.
