Brett intervenes and asks Kathleen to choose which team she would like to work with. Kathleen uncomfortably goes back and forth for a while before Eternity volunteers her team to pick another mother-daughter pair. Kate totally unironically interviews that Eternity doesn't have to be nice all the time. This is coming from the person Cologne bailed out yesterday? Wha? On the other hand, Dyshaun -- who actually suggested that Cologne should not be so nice -- now praises her for helping him out. How those tables, they do turn.

Kate refuses to stop moaning, but Ashlie and Eternity suck up their shame and ask to work with another mother-daughter pair, who have no doubt been privy to all of this commotion. Kate TH's that her teammates didn't stand up for her and can go screw themselves. Commercials.

Before we get back to the drama, there are some filler shots of NYC, and I am tempted to give the episode an 'A' solely for the split-second shot of a French bulldog wagging its little booty up Fifth Avenue. I loves me some puppies, yes I do.

So we're back at FAO Schwarz, and photo shoots have begun. Two teams favor traditional shots, while Ashlie and Eternity decide to have their models simulate a runway walk. Surprise, surprise, Kate questions this choice. I'll let Ashlie's quote speak for itself: "From the moment we got there, I was really, really worried. Kate doesn't know fashion. And not only fashion. She doesn't know anything that's going on -- with anything." Kate tells their models to smile like they're at the Wal-Mart photo shop, surrounded by teddy bears and big numbers. Ashlie opts for more staid expressions. Given that it's a trend piece in a high-end magazine, I think I'll side with her on this one. Ashlie does a hilarious impression/explanation of why Kate's "Smile, darn ya, smile!" approach was inappropriate for their runway concept. Kate feels victimized. What's new?

The teams return to the ELLE downtown with 90 minutes to pull clothing and accessories for their trends. Kate completely ignores the super-simple style Ashlie and Eternity have envision, and pulls lots of brightly colored items for "contrast." It's a trend page. It's supposed to look the same. William and his teammates seem to fundamentally grasp this, as they pull plenty of graphic pieces to match their pair's printed tunic dresses.
