Late at night, Rachel finds Mike still at his desk, having cancelled with this grandmother. Mike claims she was happy Mike has a job that engages him. "There was a time she was worried that wouldn't happen." "Despite Harvard Law School?" Rachel scoffs. Realizing he's said too much, Mike backpedals that this was when he was younger. Rachel shows Mike the sealed envelope she got containing her results from the LSAT, which Mike didn't know until now she had even taken. But having taken the test, she can't make herself open the envelope. She asks Mike to just throw it away and not say anything if she did worse than 160 Unconscionably, Mike messes with her a bit before finally breaking the bad news that she got a... 172. They hug happily, Looks like Rachel's going to be a lawyer after all. You know, unlike Mike.
The next morning, Harvey finds Mike in his office, having uncovered who their client's source is after all. There's a lot of complicated detail, but the upshot is that it's a catcher who Solis played briefly with a few years ago, who Solis got to take the drug test for him. So that also explains how Solis got clean piss. Too bad Mike solved both mysteries instead of just the one Harvey told him to. Actually, Harvey congratulates Mike on using their tricks against them. "Remind me to stop teaching you my tricks." He starts to give Mike a new job, but the scene ends before he says what it is. I assume we'll see Mike carrying out the instructions shortly.
Harvey reports to Jessica that he couldn't close Louis, no matter how nice he was. Because what Louis wants has to come from Jessica. She feigns irritation before getting up to see Louis herself, but Harvey realizes this was her plan all along. "Why send me first?" "Because if Louis didn't have to work to get me there, he wouldn't believe me when I went," Jessica explains. Good luck with that. What makes her think he'll believe her now? After a little banter prior to Jessica's exit, Harvey warns that words won't be enough. "His anger is deep. He wants us to feel pain." Jessica wonders how, and Harvey says, "Give him my office." I guess this is his proof that he's willing to put her needs ahead of his. Which he says to her outright, lest she miss the point.
