Donna shows up in Mike's doorway complimenting his office and asking a favor from him. Specifically, a bunch of filing. "Because I figured that if you're suddenly doing things for people that they didn't need you to do, didn't ask you to do and don't want you to do, then maybe I'd get in on that." She slaps that file he sneakily delivered back on his desk, saying that what he doesn't get is that Harvey didn't value Mike's help on his cases as much as Mike's loyalty. Mike says he's trying to get it back, but Donna isn't impressed with his method of having Rachel distract her so he can sneak into Harvey's office. "Oh, by the way, you think I don't know about you two? Took me one look." She says the only way Mike can get Harvey's loyalty back is with a time machine. As for the file, Mike says Harvey's going to need it -- or at least one of the multiple copies he stashed around Donna and Harvey's workspaces -- since Mike has figured out that Harvey got the goods on his client from Scottie, who is no longer here. Donna accepts the file, but says it won't make Harvey forgive Mike. He asks her to separate her relationship with Mike from Harvey's, and she angrily says he screwed her too. "And whether you appreciate it or not, I've had your back since the day that you got here." Mike reminds her that he had her back last year, when she ignored him and nearly lost Harvey's license for him. Donna reminds him in turn that she did it for Harvey and didn't get a new office for it. "I got fired." Well, welcome back.
Next morning, Mike finds Benjamin the IT guy outside the building during his daily five minutes of offline time, and says he doesn't need another enemy. He would like a favor, but he hands the recorder to Benjamin and invites him to erase it before asking for it. "I need you to build me a time machine. And a bite of the sandwich." Mike ends up getting the rest, because it turns out Benjamin is a bit of a germaphobe.
When Harvey arrives for the day, Donna asks him how it went with Richard. Harvey says it doesn't make sense that he didn't budge, until Donna shows him that file. "Son of a bitch," Harvey says. "Wait a second, let me guess -- Mike?" "Just because you use it doesn't mean you have to forgive him," Donna points out. Harvey's on board with that.
So he goes and finds Richard at his office building and shows him the document, which shows that one of the biggest competitors of Harvey's client is also Richard's biggest campaign contributor, which looks pretty sleazy. Richard argues that he's not prosecuting an innocent person, and that he'll do good things if he wins. Harvey calls him on his greater-good bullshit, which Harvey has never claimed to be after and tells him to cut a deal and find a new donor.
