Traci and Bryant enter the house and immediately start making comments about the architecture and their vacation on the Isle of Capri. Nikki and Bradin both run through and shout that they're going out, but will be back in time to help set up for the party. Bryant and his Tom Selleck moustache say that the kids are really lucky to have Ava, and Ava insists that it's all working out fine. Traci starts bragging about how she's going to be a White House correspondent. Ava pretends that she's not jealous of Traci's fabulous career.
Ava gets on the phone and starts ordering Cristal and caviar to show off that she can be fancy, too. Susannah forces her to stop and realize how ridiculous she's being. Ava makes excuses, and Susannah points out that Ava doesn't need to impress anyone, and that Traci needs to "unclench." Susannah makes Ava giggle by showing her how they are going to dance at the party tonight. Sometimes I wish Merrin Dungey were the star of this show instead of Lori Loughlin.
Nikki and Goofy set up some tiki torches on the beach for the party. Nikki grills him about Amber, and he admits that they were "kind of more than friends" last summer. Nikki says that Amber acted like she owned him, and Goofy says that she's like that with everyone, and that she's "a lot of fun" and "wild." Goofy adds that Amber is "all about what she wears and how she looks," and Nikki isn't, which is what he likes about Nikki.
The sun has set, and the party is in full swing. Bradin is acting as DJ, and he actually says, out loud, "Hey, hey, hey! Let's get this party started!" Are you kidding me? Susannah collects car keys in a basket. Jay reminds her that, last year, no one got their keys back until the next morning, and Susannah says that last year by this time, he was "two-thirds of the way through the Wilson triplets." Jay says it's "the dawn of a new era," as they both check out Erica. Jay says that he always seems to end up with Erica, and he thinks about her even when he's not with her. Susannah spots a handsome man moving toward her, so she grabs Jay and kisses him. As you do. The handsome man asks how long Susannah and Jay have been together, and Susannah says it's been "two wonderful months." Susannah tells the handsome man, Dalton, that she's surprised to see him there. Dalton says he can't really wish them well, because he's apparently jealous. Susannah dismisses him, but not before asking for his keys. Dalton seems suspicious of the whole ruse.
