As the Winchesters head back to the Impala, Dean gets a news update on his phone about the latest victim. Mrs. Holmes watches them leave from a window. As she turns away, she comes face to face with Randa. "What are you doing here, Randa?" she asks. "You know I like to stay close to the mothership," Randa says. She also wants to make sure Mrs. Holmes isn't saying anything to anyone about their crazy, heart-eating secret. "Brick's heart beats inside here now," she says, touching her chest. She says it's why she moved to Boulder and promises to "watch out" for Mrs. Holmes just like Brick did. Mrs. Holmes doesn't seem very happy about that.
Sam and Dean finally manage to find themselves a decent motel room with a partition made out of cowboy cutouts. Sam gets a call from Dr. Morrison and passes along the news to Dean. "First, it was a dead language: ancient Mayan... so what Arthur was saying was 'the divine god, Cacao, is born.'" Sam goes onto explain that Cacao was the corn god of the Maya. As posters in the forums pointed out, Cacao was most definitely not the corn god of the Maya. Perhaps there was a typo in the research Dr. Morrison read and it was supposed to say "corny god." Dean says someone is due to die in Phoenix if they don't stop whatever the hell Cacao is doing.
