The Hardy Boys Cure Insomnia

Ahem. So, long story short, they puzzle over the identity of The Hate Blonde and the nature of her Magical Knife That Can Kill Anything (Except When It Can't, Probably) until Dean finally sets the recently deceased stereotypes aflame. Moments later, Tamara takes her leave with a few curt and insincere sentences -- because everyone on this show, even the bizarre chick with a taste for bisexual British science fiction, is a LYING LIAR WHO LIES -- and then Bobby takes off after imparting some cautionary platitudes, even though one would think Our Dear Boys have had more than their fill of cautionary platitudes over the last two years, and...three more minutes? Really? Sigh.

Left alone with each other once again, the boys start back to the Impala, but Sam interrupts the stroll to suggest they head down to Louisiana to snag some voodoo assistance in ridding Dean of his Crossroads Demonette problem, because Dean hasn't shared all of the deal's details with his brother yet, so Sam still believes there's an easy way out of it. Dean quickly disabuses Sam of this notion by -- make sure you're sitting down -- opening up and actually laying everything on the line rather than waiting half the goddamned season to level with him. I know! I was so shocked, I almost woke up. Of course, they then have to scream at each other about Dean's supposed hypocrisy -- which Bobby already did last year -- and Sam's...whatever, but the only bit that's of immediate importance arrives when Dean finally and at long last utters this season's mission statement: "This show's got a year to live, and I'd like to make the most of it, so whaddya say we kill some evil sons of bitches and we raise a little hell, huh?"

"Demian!" Raoul tuts. "You're wicked!" Oh, that was a simple slip of the tongue. Or maybe a slip of the typing know what? Whatever. Because honestly, doesn't a year full of pretty boys raising hell and shooting monsters in the face with rock salt sound like fun? "Well, when you put it that way!" Raoul concedes. Loudly. "After all, anything's better than The Angst!" Or this premiere. "Touché!" See you next week, gang!
