The Hardy Boys Just Have Their Party On TV

...Jimmy The Mook as he wanders up the snow-covered Pontiac sidewalk to his gorgeous Craftsman-style house, shall we? There. That's better. Jimmy hesitantly climbs the steps to the front porch, where he spies on his vaguely annoying adolescent daughter working on her Algebra homework through one of the front windows. Mrs. Jimmy enters from the kitchen to answer a question, and...

...FLASHBACK! "Take the pills!" Mrs. Jimmy urges as the screen flares white, and when everything's settled down into the past, we find a somewhat downcast Jimmy slouched on his couch, rather uncharacteristically clad in little more than a t-shirt and jeans, avoiding Mrs. Jimmy's eye as he quietly insists, "I'm not sick!" "I know that this is hard to understand," he allows, finally raising his head to look at her, "but he chose me." "Castiel the angel?" Amelia scoffs, and woe unto thee, Mrs. Jimmy! For the LORD saith, "Whosoever is married to Misha Collins on low-rated Thursday-night television entertainments and disbelieves him, yea verily shall she suffer my ALMIGHTY wrath." Or something like that. Long, lengthy, interminable, and BORING story short, if Jimmy continues with this delusion of his with the talking angels and the higher purpose and the whatnot, Amelia's taking their daughter to her mother's house, and she's never coming back, so there! With that, Mrs. Jimmy stomps up the stairs in a righteous snit, leaving Jimmy The Mook alone on the sofa for a moment until he time-lapse cross-fades into a later version of himself in front of the hallway mirror, pulling his familiar trench over the suit we'd never seen him without prior to this evening. He stares at his reflection for a moment before heading outside to...talk to the sky? Okay, we'll go with that. Jimmy The Mook bays at the heavens, pleading with Castiel for the latter to reveal his purpose before Jimmy loses his family for good. After a while, a beam of bright white light opens over Jimmy's head, and Jimmy listens to the whisperings that emanate from above for a while before loosening his tie and answering, "Yes, I understand." "Promise my family will be okay," he adds, once more looking up, "and I'll do it." Jimmy apparently receives the answer he wanted and agrees, "Then, yes. I'll do it." With that, the beam's intensity increases, and a small little whirlwind springs up around Jimmy's body, and he lifts his face up to the angelic presence now descending upon him, and sweet Jesus, Misha Collins is just ridiculously pretty during this sequence with the dark hair and the blue eyes and the light hitting the angles of his face just so and...and...sigh!
