Now, we pay a visit to La Mina. Very Pale Dan says that he's very happy with the way things turned out, and that it was "a close call," since he was the last guy to get picked. He says that he wanted to be on this team, and that he has a great relationship with Terry. I have the strong feeling that VPD is far more attached to Terry than Terry is to him, meaning that Terry will one day dump VPD, all, "You're going to make somebody a wonderful alliance-mate one day," and it will be ugly, and there will be repercussions, and I cannot wait.

Later, while Nick and Austin are helping to get water, Terry approaches them about forming a foursome. He says that they'll try to get the whole team to the merge, but that, if they can't, they'll get rid of the girls instead of each other. Nick and Austin agree. Hands are shaken. Dicks are waved. Sorry, ladies! Nick tells us that the alliance makes sense, but that you never know what will happen. As if to prove this point, we now see Sally quietly talking to Austin about an alliance including herself and Misty along with him and Nick -- in other words, ganging up on oldsters instead of on women. Austin is noncommittal, and agrees to talk to Nick. Austin goes on to interview that he and Nick are in the middle between these two groupings, it's "not fun and games," and so forth. If you don't tell him that it actually is fun and games, technically speaking, I won't either. He's cute.
