Now, Twila heads off for a meeting with Scout. Twila says that Ami doesn't want to vote out Eliza; she wants to vote out a guy. Twila repeats her old, lame-ass refrain that she's stuck in the middle, blah dee blah. She tells Scout that Ami, Leann, and Julie are not going to vote out Eliza. "Will you let me talk and listen to the logic?" Scout says patronizingly. Twila stands there. Scout: "The logic is that we have, with the two guys and you and me, we have four votes to their three votes." So I guess she's saying after they vote out Eliza. Twila counters that the Eliza boot is not going to happen tonight as planned, so "somebody's going to have to draw a rock tonight and go home." She doesn't want to go home on a tiebreaker. And then in one of the moments that makes me remember why part of me really does like Twila, Scout asks Twila what she's going to do, and Twila just grumps, "I'm not gonna do nothin' yet, I'm still thinkin'. I'm aggravated. But I have to go this way." And she points and walks off to do some more work. Which I found utterly hilarious. I'm totally saving "I'm aggravated, but I have to go this way" for the next time I'm trying to exit a tiring conversation. I'll say to my boss, "I'm aggravated. I have to go this way." And I'll leave his office. I think that would be awesome. Scout looks after her unhappily.
The tribe huddles under the shelter as Twila voices over some more that she feels "stuck in the middle." Again with the "I'm going to get somebody pissed off at me either way," and the way the guys are counting on her and Scout, and she doesn't know what to do, and she would like to get Ami out of the power position, but she's not sure if that can be accomplished. And why, if that's how Twila feels, she didn't just tell Scout and the guys to go and round up Eliza to vote off Ami, I do not know. That's all they have to do! Eliza knows that she's not Ami's favorite. Eliza undoubtedly knows that she will be the first to go if it gets down to the six women. She doesn't want that outcome. I have to assume that she would vote Ami out if she were asked to. And then there would be seven, and Twila and Scout and the boys could vote off Eliza next week. Just as clearly as you can't do Eliza-then-Ami as they had planned, you likely can do Ami-then-Eliza, winding up with a final four alliance that nobody else can touch. But nobody will do it, because they're idiots, and Scout is too stubborn to go to Eliza for help. So basically, all of these people deserve the crap-ass outcome they're probably going to get. In short, shut up, entire cast of this season.
