Roger That

Peachy asks Deena whether any of the women actually participated in the building of the shelter, and she responds, "Putting the logs together with the four corners of the foundation? No." She backhandedly says that they did have the chance to bond with each other, though, and that was more important.

Peachy next calls out Roger who, according to Peachy, has a "real smug look on [his] face right now." Roger can't be blamed for his permanent facial expression, though, can he? Roger insists that they had "too many Indians, in this case" working on the shelter, and that if more than four people had tried to help, they wouldn't have succeeded. I guess "Indians, in this case," is code for "weak, helpless women"? ["Isn't the expression 'too many chiefs, not enough Indians'? As in, too many people trying to boss everyone around, and not enough people getting bossed and doing the actual work?" -- Wing Chun] Roger concludes that the most important thing the new tribe needed to do was quickly establish a strong and stable structure.

Peachy turns the discussion to the challenge, and mentions the strip show by Jenna and HeiDDi as a "highlight." "Aside from the fact that [they] got naked for peanut butter," he questions where their confidence came from in giving in so quickly on the immunity challenge. Jenna responds that if she gets voted out because she jumped off for peanut butter and cookies, it was still worth it because she had fun and the food was good. HeiDDi agrees.

Peachy calls out Roger for giving up so soon afterward, and Roger claims that he "rationalized" his decision because he knew he wasn't going to win, so figured he might as well just give up. Peachy asks whether the situation would have been different had Roger felt the same exhaustion but known he absolutely had to win to avoid being voted out, and Roger admits that, "obviously," if he felt he really needed the immunity necklace, he would have given it his all. D'oh!

Peachy asks Deena whether she wants to give her immunity away to protect someone else in the game, and she firmly responds, "I choose not to. I choose to assign it to myself." And who does she think she is? Kelly Taylor?

It's time for the vote. Roger is first; he writes down Christy's name and says he wishes she'd hung in there during the challenge. He commends her for her contributions to the tribe, and claims that if she'd won, she definitely wouldn't have received his vote. Duh.
