Over at Matsing, Denise and Zane are gathering wood on the beach. Denise is a forty-something sex therapist - she looks like she probably also does yoga and triathlons, and drinks herbal tea. Anyway, she finds Zane really interesting and thinks there is more to him than meets the eye. Zane and Denise make an alliance.

Moments later, Zane makes an alliance with Roxanne as they walk down the beach. And then he makes an alliance with Angie. So now he's got an alliance with every woman on his tribe. And finally, he approaches Russell and Malcolm and says that the three of them should stick together no matter what. Zane admits to them that he has alliances with each of the women, so they can pull one or more in as needed. Zane might want to calm down and shut up for a while. It's like day two and he's already got alliances with everyone. So Zane thinks he is pulling the strings on this tribe, because no one else has alliances.

Malcolm and Denise immediately meet in the woods and talk about how Zane claims he has alliances with everyone, and they might need to keep an eye on him. Then they make an alliance. I can't believe the stuff going on already on this tribe. Are all of the tribes doing this? Anyway, Malcolm has already got an itch to take out Russell, and Denise doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

Tandang Tribe. It's day two and they don't have shelter, so Skupin decides to step up and make it happen. Unfortunately, his method of making it happen means whacking at things with machetes, and he gets a cut on his finger. Then he gets a pretty large cut on his head. Granted, head scrapes tend to bleed more than anywhere else, but it's kind of gross. And then he comes hobbling up from the shore with a giant cut on his foot. It's pretty deep. So Skupin is accident-prone, although he claims he's not. Skupin interviews that he tends to act first and think later. Moment later, he picking at a coconut with a machete and cuts his finger. Seriously, he has no idea how to do things safely. His tribemates joke around, but I'm starting to understand how he fell in the fire.
