That's Love, Baby! It Makes You Strong!

Previously on If At First You Don't Succeed, Way To Go: After each tribe got to steal two members from the other, Peih-Gee and Jaime figured out that this gave them the best opportunity they were ever going to have to get rid of dominant powerhouses Aaron and James. Jeff Probst almost broke a tooth clenching his jaw in disgust and trying to shame Peih-Gee and Jaime for using strategy against manly men who deserve to be dominant, because Jeff Probst hates nothing so much as girls who play smarter, not harder. The women's plan worked perfectly, as Aaron -- a huge, looming threat and a leader of an increasingly dominant faction that would never include Peih-Gee or Jaime -- was booted after a thrown challenge. Jeff ominously warned that changes in the game would most likely make the strategy a foolish one, and he clearly was preparing marshmallows for roasting over the fire that would one day burn Peih-Gee and Jaime for failing to respect the Code Of The Guy.

Note: I missed watching (or recording) about the first 90 seconds of this episode as a result of being utterly distracted by online Scrabble ("Nowt"? Bite me!), and if you've ever tried to use's player to view episodes online, you know that it is literally worthless, to the point where they really might as well take it down entirely. My secret suspicion, and I am entirely serious, is that CBS knows you have to "offer" episodes online these days to be competitive, but they've decided to make their free player so bad and so dysfunctional that you're forced into paying for episodes from iTunes or Amazon, but I assure you that in my case, all that does is assure that I will never pay for a CBS show on iTunes or Amazon. But anyhow, the bottom line is that you'll have to tolerate a slightly late start, for which I apologize.

We are over at Zhan Hu, after the booting of Aaron, where Peih-Gee reviews the way the plan is going to work from here on: they booted Aaron, and now they're going to throw another challenge and boot James. They hope there's a merge at ten, "best-case scenario," and that should leave them in a better position than if they'd won the challenge and set up Frosti or Sherea to be booted. For his part, James says he knows he's at the mercy of the rest of Zhan Hu right now, so he's feeling precarious. As he fetches water, he tells us that his best way to go is to keep everyone rested and hydrated so that they have no excuse for losing. That makes no sense. I'm not sure James understands what throwing a challenge means.

Credits. Oh, Aaron. How muddy you were.
