Fallen Comrats

The S3 arrive at Tribal Council and the jury comes in. Sometimes Kelly looks pretty, sometimes extraordinarily toothy. Teresa is tacky. Peachy dramatically states, "And then there were three." He says it was a long day that started very early, and now he wants to talk about the immunity challenge. He says that Kim was victorious "in an absolute...test of will power." Except the pause suggests he was going to use another word like "shock" or "travesty." He points out that a fifty-six-year-old grandmother kicked the asses of two fit young men. She claims, "It was strictly just stamina and guts goin' on." I don't know if she means Lex Loser's malfunctioning "guts" or her own. Kimj says that the challenge went beyond the game, and she did it to prove something to herself. Ethan says losing was tough for him -- he expected to do better, and it will take him a long time to get over the failure. Happily, I'm sure there are many young women ready to help him out with that back home. It boiled down to a physical problem for Lex Loser because he didn't have the strength to stand anymore. He sore losers, "My mind and my will and my pride would have had me up there another three hours, but my body wasn't ready to deliver, and it didn't." As Kimj bends over, Lex Loser then puckers up and says that the strongest person won.

Peachy explains that Kimj has immunity, so they can't vote for her, and that the rules "clearly state" that they cannot vote for themselves. Thus, there's no need for Lex Loser and Ethan to vote because they will "nullify each other." Peachy says there are many reasons why Kimj might pick one man over the other; he wants to know if she's made up her mind, or whether she is in need of a final plea from Ethan and Lex Loser. She claims to be undecided as yet, and says again that this is probably the most bittersweet thing she's ever faced. She feels bad that she can't choose both of them, and she "almost wish[es]" one of them had won instead so that she didn't have to make the decision. Lex Loser vigorously nods his head, also wishing he had won. Kimj says that if the men have anything they want to say, she'd love to hear it. Lex Loser tells her to "vote [her] heart," not to look back, and not to regret anything. He tells her, "It'll be all right, and that's fine." Sounds like bad 1970s song lyrics. Ethan advises Kimj, "Do what makes you feel good inside." She puts her arms around both of them as Peachy tells her that this is the last (and first, come to think of it) time she'll have any control over the game, because after this vote, all power goes to the jury.
