Jeff shuts the crowd up, and his first comment is that, in case we're wondering, that wasn't the twist. HA! I thought that was funny, since he had specifically been asked during the week whether it was, and he had assured people it wasn't. Jeff gives props to the folks and asks if Rob told anyone he was doing this, and he said yes -- he talked to his parents, and he asked Amber's parents. Jeff looks around, and you can tell he's sort of thinking, "Way to step on the vote," but he's also kind of amused, so he just says they still have the vote to get to. And in his weirdest and worst moment of the night, Jeff smarms, "Suddenly, Amber's a millionaire, no matter how you look at it!" Wh-what? Aren't they both? Is Rob's money Amber's money but not vice-versa, or what? That made no sense. Weirdo.
Jeff reminds us that the votes are for the winner, and that it takes four to win. Long story short, it's a four-three vote, and the winner? Is Amber. She and Rob hug and smooch, and he mutters into her mic, "You win, baby," which I didn't think he knew was going to be heard, and which I thought was kind of endearing. The rest of the bitchy, self-involved cast stands around pretending to be happy, and Amber runs down to see her family and, most importantly, to show off her ring. There is hugging on stage, blah blah blah.
Well, that was weird. Next up: the aftermath, in which little has changed except that Lex has had time to reconsider his dick behavior and -- I'm not afraid to say -- recommit to it.
