We now return to Rotwo, where Rob tells us in a confessional that as soon as they voted the Moppet out, he knew there was an alliance. He says, "I wanted to see 'em lie to me to my face when I asked 'em if there was or not." Rob asks Zoe about the alliance, and it really looks like he's reading off a list as he recites the names of the foursome. Zoe responds that they have a "friendship, not an alliance," which Rob thinks is "interesting." In his confessional, Rob says that he could immediately tell that she was lying. We then see Rob yell at Zoe not to claim that "everything's 100% legit and then turn around and lie to me and stab me in the back!" He adds, "Because game or no game, I won't fugget it. You know what I'm sayin'?" Zoe does understand: for the first time in four seasons, they'll need to send the losing S15 on a consolation vacation. Into the witness protection program. It turns out Rob doesn't trust Zoe; in fact, he doesn't trust anybody except himself. And even that's a stretch.
Now Sean, Rob, and Vecepia sit together; Sean explains that if they win the remaining immunity challenge before the merger, they'll still be in the game. John suspiciously creeps up behind them. Rob tells us in a confessional that he's had it with the "quiet treatment" he's been receiving "over hey-uh." We then see him ask the others straight up whether they have an alliance. Backed into a corner, John wants to know how Rob could think that they don't have an alliance, and snits, "You'd have to be blind not to see that!" Rob, neither blind nor deaf, responds that Zoe "just told [him] straight up in [his] face not even five minutes ago" that no such alliance existed. A guilty Zoe works in the background while John explains that Zoe might not be "thinkin' that way." Rob asks if he has the word "stupid" written on his forehead. John does not respond that Rob doesn't, but that he does have the words "misogynistic, lazy piece of crap" written there. Rob and John then exchange a round of "I'm sayin'[s]' while John starts brandishing a knife. I really wanted Rob to tell John not to wave his knife in Rob's face, so that John could answer, "I will always wave my knife in your face," but that didn't happen. Rob appreciates John's honesty, and John says that while they're on the subject, they should also "look at" Rob's attempts to sway the Moppet into a John-ousting alliance. John says that Rob's behavior completely changed because he was looking for scenarios in which he could take out John. But not, like, on a date. Rob claims that he didn't want to get rid of John specifically, just someone John-like. John wants Rob to look John in the eye and say he wasn't the target, and Rob says, all Shaggy-like, "It wasn't you," but can't keep a straight face. John now wants to know if he has the word "stupid" written on his forehead, and Rob does not respond that he doesn't, but does have the words "paranoid, squealing liar" written there.
